Emmy Award-winning actress and star in Everybody Loves Raymond and The Middle, Patricia Heaton reconnected with her Christian faith during the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic. “There’s a season of real busyness when you’re raising children and having a family and working. And often, we don’t make enough space to allow God to really talk to us. So I have more space now, and I’m hearing loud and clear,” she told The Christian Post.

Heaton is also an ambassador for World Vision, a Christian humanitarian charity lifting children, families, and communities out of poverty.

Hanks was raised Catholic and Mormon, and described himself as a “Bible-toting Evangelical” in his teenage years. He later converted to the Greek Orthodox Church before marrying Rita Wilson, and they still attend church.

In an interview with Vanity Fair, Nicole Kidman said she and husband Keith Urban regularly attend church with their children. “That’s how we are raising our family,” Kidman told the magazine. “I had a very Catholic grandmother, and I was raised praying, so that had massive impact. I wouldn’t say it’s absolutism, there’s constant questioning.”

The award-winning actress known for her role in Fences, prayed to God for a husband that checked off all of her boxes. Three weeks later, her prayer was answered. Julius Tennon invited Davis to church and the couple eventually said “I do” forever. They also worked side-by-side to co-produce Emmanuel, a documentary that recounts a 2015 mass shooting at Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, South Carolina.

The “Holy” singer wrote on Instagram that his priority is his relationship with Jesus — not necessarily with religion.

“Many people would mistake me for a religious man, which I am not. Religion points out your flaws and perpetuates discouragement. Religion makes people feel better than others because they go to ‘church,'” he wrote. “I am however in love with the one who created me. I believe Jesus is the savior of humanity and that His love is what changes us.”

Late Show host Stephen Colbert spoke about his religious views on air after pop singer Dua Lipa asked him if his faith and comedy ever overlap. “Ultimately, us all being mortal, the faith will win out in the end. But I certainly hope when I get to heaven, Jesus has a sense of humor,” Colbert responded. He added to his witty response, that faith is “connected to the idea of love and sacrifice being somehow related and giving yourself to other people.”

You may know Jackman for his role as Wolverine in the X-Men franchise or his performance as Jean Valjean in Les Miserables. But did you know that the well-versed actor is also Christian? “When I was about 13, I had a weird premonition that I was going to be onstage, like the preachers I saw,” he revealed in an interview.

The Oscar-winning actor has often spoken about his faith in interviews. Washington told the Desus & Mero podcast that he attributes his acting talents to God. “One of the most important lessons in life that you should know is to remember to have an attitude of gratitude, of humility, understand where the gift comes from,” the actor said.

Christianity has overlapped with Quaid’s acting and musical career. In 2018, he starred in I Can Only Imagine, based on the true story of MercyMe’s song of the same name which lead singer Bart Millard wrote after losing his abusive father to cancer. Quaid plays Millard’s father who is transformed by faith after his diagnosis.

The Olympic athlete says she couldn’t have won all those medals in the ’80s and ’90s (three gold, one silver and two bronze) without her faith in God. “Well Jesus Christ, God … there’s no way I could have accomplished all the things I have been blessed to do because I know it just wasn’t me. And still today, He leads my life,” she told the Christian Broadcasting Network.

Speaking about their Soul2Soul tour in 2018, Faith Hill shared a sweet pre-performance tradition. “Tim and I share a quick quiet moment together before hitting the stage,” Faith told People magazine. “Always praying.”

Several of the country singer’s songs have a godly message, including “My Miracle.” Paisley wrote the love song for his wife, and it includes the touching lyrics, “I wasn’t always spiritual / Oh but one thing that’s for sure / How could I not have faith / In the God that created her.”

The actor opened up about some of his struggles with depression in a video created for the Oprah Winfrey Network. In it, he credited God for seeing him through some of the darker moments in his life, and offered advice to others who may be experiencing similar struggles: “Hold onto that fundamental quality of faith. Have faith that on the other side of your pain is something good,” the actor said.

Nick Jonas, as well as his brothers Joe and Kevin, were all raised Christian. When Nick and Priyanka Chopra tied the knot, they had a Hindu wedding celebration as well as a Christian wedding, officiated by Nick’s father, who is a former minister with the Assemblies of God church.
